Having mastered my first cuts on some of the large panel the other night, it was time to make progress on more panels. Tonight I wanted to get all the of the larger body panels trimmed and make a start on the rest of the kit.
So first panel tonight was the butt cover:
This panel was fairly straight forward and as such presented no problems.
Moving on to the lower back panel (referred to as the kidney armour) this looked fairly straight forward… however.. it transcribed that the end cut marks were not present!

The lower back kidney armour
This panel has a rather unique 'un-equal' appearance due to its authentic design, and you can clearly see here the unmarked moulded cut line
Marking the cut line indentations with a pen and.. oh dear, the cut line has stopped?
The reverse of the cut line is quite clear if viewed from the back too
..but there is no visible reverse cut line on the back either 🙁
Looks like we might have a problem Huston - this particular panel really doesn't look like its been moulded too well
I'll just have to 'manually' continue the actual cut line myself - fingers crossed!
Phew.. turned out ok in the end but a bit nerve racking
